Dolphins Owner Buys Shuttered Deauville Resort in Miami Beach
Miami Dolphins owner and Chairman of Related Companies' Stephen Ross has acquired the site of the shuttered Deauville Beach Resort in Miami Beach. The shuttered resort is currently being demolished to make way for Ross's project which has few details at this stage. Ross says that he plans to redevelop the oceanfront site into a world-class, six-star hotel and luxury residences. New York-based architect Frank Gehry has signed on for the project.
The former Deauville Beach Resort was shuttered in 2017 after it was damaged by an electrical fire. Miami Beach officials have since approved the demolition and redevelopment of the property.
