43-14 Queens Street Update 12/29/22

Drilling Underway for 19-Story LIC Rental Project

Subcontractor, ECD NY, is currently conducting drilling and excavation work for a 19-story residential project, set to rise at 43-14 Queens Street in Long Island City.

At this time, more equipment can be found on-site, as drilling rigs continue to bore holes for the many structural support columns that will anchor the building to the ground.

Developed and constructed in-house by , the structure will contain rental apartments. Plans also call for square feet of retail space, which will be located on the ground floor.

The square foot project site spans what was previously 3-separate lots.

To create the assemblage, Rockrose shelled out $26 million in 2019 to acquire 27-34 Jackson Avenue, and an additional $13 million in 2020 for the neighboring properties at 43-12 and 43-14 Queens Street. All of the occupying structures have since been demolished.

Designed by , the new development will stand feet tall and total square feet. Construction is estimated to finish by the Spring of 2025.
