Dual-Tower Mixed-Use Project Climbs in Woodside
Two concrete superstructures are slowly rising for a dual-tower, mixed-use project at 69-02 Queens Boulevard in Woodside, Queens. General contractor, Omnibuild, has so far constructed around 10-floors apiece of the 12 and 15-story sections of the building. Since the initial pouring of the foundation, Gotham Ready Mix has been a key provider of concrete for the project.
Developed by , the towers will contain residential units, with 145 of these dedicated to affordable housing. Set to offer an extensive list of tenant amenities, it will have a fitness center, residential lounges, laundry facilities, bike storage, a lower outdoor terrace, and an upper roof terrace with outdoor cooking facilities.
has also teamed up with the New York City School Construction Authority (SCA) to build a public elementary school, spanning the bottom 4-floors (and the cellar) of the eastern tower. Totaling 78,000 square feet, it will have 476-seats and serve grades K-5.
In addition to residential and academic space, the building will have square feet of retail, located within the 3-story podium on the ground floor. Plans even call for an enclosed parking garage with enough room for vehicles.
Designed by , 69-02 Queens Boulevard will total square feet. In the coming months, we should see both tower sections top out and substantial facade work begin.
At this time, an estimated completion date hasn't been announced, but based on the rate of progress so far, it wouldn't be unreasonable to guess mid to late 2023.
