East Flatbush Affordable Housing Project Approved
A $400 million project that will turn Brooklyn's Kingsboro Psychiatric Center into an affordable housing complex has just been approved. The 7.2 acre site, located at 681 Clarkson Avenue, will soon be redeveloped, bringing 900 affordable homes to the East Flatbush community. Six organizations, including Douglaston Development, were selected to be a part of the development team. David Adjaye Associates was selected as the architect for the project. Construction on the new complex is planned to start sometime in early 2023.
