Excavation Ahead for 48-Story Tower Project in LIC
Excavation is imminent for a 48-story, mixed-use tower project, at 23-14 45th Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. Although the property sits vacant at the moment, demolition is complete and a partial building permit has been issued, which allows for earthwork and foundation construction.
Jointly developed by Tavros Capital and Charney Companies, the tower will feature residential condo units, offered with a number of tenant amenities. These include a swimming pool, a fitness center, various lounge spaces, and a bicycle storage area.
In addition to residential units, the structure will contain 76,996 square feet of Class-A office and retail space. It will also have 3,388 square feet of unspecified community facilities.
Designed by , the tower will stand feet tall and total square feet. It will be constructed on a square foot site, at the corner of 45th Avenue and 23rd Street. This piece of land was previously addressed as 45-03 23rd Street and is an assemblage of lots that were rezoned for the new development in September of 2021.
