Finegold Alexander Architects Announces Three Key Team Member Promotions

Finegold Alexander Architects is excited to announce that Christopher P. Lane, AIA, has been appointed to the firm’s Board of Directors. Lane, who was promoted to Principal in 2021, has been an architect at Finegold Alexander for over 30 years and has been a critical contributor to the firm’s award winning work in preservation and adaptive reuse. Lane has also worked on a range of public, higher education, K-12, and private developer projects.

Lane’s expertise in adaptive reuse and historic preservation, such as the restoration and preservation of First Church of Christ, Scientist in downtown Boston, is coupled with a forward-thinking, innovative, and technical mindset. He is involved in managing a number of Finegold Alexander’s education projects, including the new ground-up Gladstone Elementary School in Cranston, RI which is currently in construction. He embodies the firm’s goals to design thoughtful, inspirational, and sustainable spaces for all.

Along with the celebration of Lane’s new role, Finegold Alexander also announced two key promotions within the firm, including Clair Colburn, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, LFA, to Associate Principal and Josie Catino to Senior Associate.

Clair Colburn is a seasoned architect with over 25 years of experience including 9 years with the firm, has worked on highly sustainable civic, academic and institutional projects. Her interest in inclusivity and user-centered design in all its expressions, informs her current work as Project Manager for the Framingham Regional Justice Center and Wellesley College Claflin Hall renovation. Her commitment to broadening access and inclusion runs deep as the director of the firm’s mentoring program and in her advocacy for underrepresented stakeholders of the projects she leads.

Finegold Alexander Comptroller, Josie Catino has worked in the firm’s accounting and HR department for 20 years. She has a sharp financial mindset and specializes in finance, contracts, insurance and human resources.
