First Phase of Beltway Plaza Redevelopment Wins Approval
The Prince George’s County Planning Board has approved the first phase of the redevelopment of the Beltway Plaza Mall. Plans call for 750 apartments and a 92 room hotel plus a linear pedestrian plaza with a dog park and art walk adjacent to the AMC movie theater and the conversion of the Laugh Out Loud space into a 27,000 square-foot community center. In total the redevelopment project would feature 2,500 residential units and 700,000 square feet of reconfigured commercial space to the 54-acre site.
