Five New Buildings Topping Off

2017 will bring several exciting new buildings to Boston. These buildings will infuse Boston’s neighborhoods with new residents, enticing retail options and adaptive public spaces. Here are five new buildings wrapping up construction next year that have recently, or will soon, top off:
Parcel 1B
In booming Bulfinch Triangle across from North Station, Parcel 1B, a 14-story building developed by Related Beal featuring 239 affordable apartments and a 220-room hotel, topped off this fall. Scheduled for completion in early 2018, Parcel 1B will bring an important affordable housing option to Boston’s downtown core. Learn more about Parcel 1B here.
1350 Boylston
In the heart of the Fenway overlooking the Emerald Necklace, 1350 Boylston, a 17-story building developed by Skanska with 212 apartments and 7,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, topped off this fall. At the topping-off ceremony, Skanska was joined by students from the nearby McKinley Preparatory High School, who Skanska is educating about the 1350 Boylston construction process. 1350 Boylston is targeting a Fall 2017 opening. Pierce Boston
Across Boylston Street from 1350 Boylston is the Fenway’s Pierce Boston, a 30-story tower developed by Landsea, Samuels & Associates and Weiner Ventures with 349 luxury residential units and a 20,000 square foot retail podium. With concrete nearly fully poured on all stories and the building’s distinctive glass facade nearly 11 stories high, Pierce Boston is expected to fully top out in the first week of December. 50 Liberty
In the Seaport District on the Boston Harbor waterfront, 50 Liberty, a 14-story building developed by The Fallon Company with 120 luxury condominiums and ground-floor retail, has just about reached its’ full height. 50 Liberty will open in Fall 2017 and will energize Boston’s Harborwalk with new retail space overlooking Boston Harbor. 14 West
In South Boston across from the Broadway rapid transit station, 14 West, a 10-story building developed by City Point Capital featuring 49 luxury condominiums and a 6,000 square foot ground-floor restaurant, topped off this fall. 14 West will open in 2017 and will feature a resident roof deck with sweeping views of the Boston skyline.
