Foundation Work Underway for Diamond District Hotel
Foundation work is currently well underway at 32 West 48th Street; the site of a 31-story hotel tower, set to rise in Midtown Manhattan's Diamond District. General contractor, began excavating the foundation this past summer, marking the start of a two-and-a-half-year build process, and subsurface construction has been progressing on schedule in the time since.
Developed by , and designed by , the hotel will offer rooms. The structure is set to stand feet tall and will total square feet. A 4-story commercial building was demolished on the project site in order to make way for the new development. Work on the tower is expected to finish by the 4th quarter of 2024.
