General contractor, , has completed the foundation of a 9-story, mixed-use project, going up at 329 Clarkson Street in Brooklyn's Prospect Lefferts Gardens neighborhood.
Developed by , and known as "Clarkson Estates", the building will contain affordable apartments, offered in studio, one, two, and three-bedroom configurations. Many of these units will also be used as supportive housing.
Plans also call for 30,556 square feet of community facility space, which will consist of an economic development and workforce training center, a CURE violence prevention and mediation center, a food pantry and café, a civic-minded engagement office, and a healthy living and screening center.
Additionally, the building will feature a childcare facility, a community basketball gym, landscaped outdoor spaces, and an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for vehicles.
Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet altogether. Back in April of 2023, the New York State Housing Finance Agency, provided a $181.8 million loan, which is being used to fund all construction costs from start to finish.
The project site spans square feet and the building will have frontages on both Clarkson Avenue and Parkside Avenue. A one-story parking garage building had to be demolished in order to make way for the new development.
