Garment District Hotel Begins to Rise
The framework is steadily rising at 319 West 35th Street, a new development in the Garment District of Manhattan. This future 25-story hotel tower is being developed by Wei Hong Hu, and will contain 166 rooms. General contractor, CrossCity Construction Co, is responsible for building the slender structure. It will amass 59,250 sqft. despite sitting on just 4,937 sqft. of land.
The tower was designed by Peter Poon Architects and will stand 249 feet high when completed. In addition to the hotel, the tower will provide 3,399 square feet for shopping and retail applications.
