Gas Worx Developers Transact Nine Parcels of Land

Gas Worx developers were involved in nine transactions involving land for the development. The transactions recorded December 9, 2022, involve nine parcels of land, a combined 14.96 acres and totaled just over $61 million. The parcels, which were owned by other entities tied to Gas Worx developers, were acquired by an LLC tied to Gas Worx developer Kettler according to Hillsborough County public records.  The county records also indicate that Kettler took out a $20 million loan from Valley National Bank. The transactions would appear to lay the groundwork for construction funding for the sites. Construction crews have begun ground improvement for foundation construction at the first phase of Gas Worx. Phase 1 includes 316 apartments along with 2,500 square feet of retail space. The proposed master planned development would add as many as 5,000 homes, 500,000 square feet of office space and 150,000 square feet of retail space.  The Gas Worx project would connect Tampa’s historic Ybor City with the Channel District and the Water Street development.  Spread out over 50 acres, the development plans also include the redevelopment of a 70,000 square foot warehouse.  The project will be rolled out in stages and includes the demolition of the vacant Tampa Park apartment complex.
