Gotham Point Completes in LIC

General contractor, , has fully finished constructing both of the towers that make up the Gotham Point development in Long Island City, Queens. Developed by and located at the southern tip of LIC's Hunters Point section, Gotham Point constitutes the second phase of the larger Hunters Point South development plan.

Designed by , the buildings have been constructed on two adjacent parcels, and are referred to as the North Tower and the South Tower. The North Tower is the taller of the two, standing 58 stories (559 feet) tall. Located at 1-15 57th Avenue, it contains 692 rental apartments.

The South Tower is no slouch either, standing 34 stories tall. Located at 57-28 2nd Street, it contains 443 rental apartments. Although construction just wrapped up on the North Tower, work finished on the South Tower at the beginning of last year.

Accounting for both towers, the combined square footage of the project totals over 1 million square feet. Gotham Point as a whole will offer a total of 1,135 units, with approximately 75% of the units to be dedicated to affordable housing.
