Gowanus Commercial Waterfront Project Receives Approval

A 6-story commercial project at 300 Huntington Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn has just received the stamp of approval from the NYC Mayor's Office. This comes several months after the applicant, 300 Huntington Street LLC, submitted an application requesting a zoning map amendment for the building. The application also requested a waterfront certification and authorizations for public outdoor space along the banks of the abutting, Gowanus Canal.

Developed by , the structure will contain  square feet of office space, square feet of retail, and almost 3,500 square feet of dedicated manufacturing space. and Dattner Architects both had a hand in the design process.

At over 7,500 square feet, the outdoor waterfront area will consist of a walkway and a paved plaza. Designed by SCAPE Landscape Architecture, it will have seating areas and various green spaces. 300 Huntington Street will take approximately two years to construct, with work concluding in 2024.
