Greystar Wins Approval for Changes to 650 Unit Project in Everett

Greystar has won approval for modifications to the previously approved project along Boston Street in Everett. The firm will be purchasing the land/entitlements and told the Everett Planning Board they hope to begin construction in Q2 2021. The mixed-use project was originally approved in April 2019 to include 3 buildings with 650 residential units, 13,507 square feet of retail, and 832 parking spaces. The revised plans still call for 650 units however now within 2 buildings. These new plans also include 9,000 square feet of ground-level retail as well as 19,000 square feet of amenity space, and 785 parking spaces. The redesign focused on improving the Vale Street streetscape as well as the connectivity from the public sidewalks into the proposed retail spaces. According to the filing, "additional factors considered in the project modifications also included general market conditions and construction feasibility."
