Ground Breaking Celebrated at WSSC Laboratory Expansion
WSSC held a spirited ground-breaking ceremony for the expansion of the existing laboratory by approximately 12,000 square feet to address anticipated future testing services over the next two decades.

New features on the Property will include a new circular driveway to serve emergency response vehicles, modifications to the existing parking areas to improve circulation and increase the number of spaces.
There will also be new stormwater management areas to accommodate the additional runoff from the proposed development.
The one level building addition will take place on the northern portion of the existing building When complete, the project will provide a new 19,720 SF addition that features 6,000 SF of new laboratory space, and 13,000 SF of office and laboratory support space.
The new addition will allow WSSC Water to continue ensuring another century of safe water to the residents of Montgomery and Prince George’s counties.
