Groundbreaking Held at Gas Worx
The developers held the official groundbreaking at Gas Worx, the $500 million development in Tampa. Construction crews have begun ground improvement for foundation construction at the first phase of Gas Worx. Phase 1 includes 316 apartments along with 2,500 square feet of retail space. The proposed master planned development would add as many as 5,000 homes, 500,000 square feet of office space and 150,000 square feet of retail space. The Gas Worx project would connect Tampa’s historic Ybor City with the Channel District and the Water Street development. Spread out over 50 acres, the development plans also include the redevelopment of a 70,000 square foot warehouse. The project will be rolled out in stages and includes the demolition of the vacant Tampa Park apartment complex.
