Harvard District Energy Facility Update 02/19/18

Harvard tops off new Allston Landing energy facility

A topping-off ceremony was held last week for Harvard University’s new District Energy Facility, which will supply Harvard’s development of the 140-acre Allston Landing development site with electricity and hot/cold water. All steel beams of the facility’s three-story structure are now in place. In the coming months, the facility’s facade will be outfitted with a floor-to-ceiling glass curtainwall, and utilities will be installed within. The 58,275-square-foot facility will supply upcoming Harvard developments such as the Harvard University Science and Engineering Complex and Harvard Enterprise Research Complex with energy.
