Height Increase Proposed for Under Construction Centre St. Project
The developer of 632 - 638 Centre Street has proposed a height increase to the Boston Planning & Development Agency for review. The project, currently under construction, calls for the creation of 12 apartments across 3 floors with ground-level retail for four tenants.
GCB Realty's new proposal would add a fourth floor to the project and bring the total number of units to 18 apartments, with four being designated as "affordable". The developer also proposes to reconstruct a portion of Greenview avenue, a public way abutting the site, in order to make it handicapped accessible at no cost to the City of Boston.
