Hoboken Approves Affordable Senior Housing Project
Hoboken's Zoning Board of Adjustment has just approved a 6-story, senior housing development, proposed at 1033 Willow Avenue (aka 259 11th Street).
Developed by , and known as "The Willow", the building will contain affordable housing units for residents aged 55 and older. Units will be offered in studio, one, and two-bedroom configurations. The building will feature an activity room on the ground floor and a library on the 5th floor.
The project represents Hoboken's first 100% affordable housing complex for seniors in over 30 years. Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet.
The square foot project site sits on the corner of Willow Avenue and 11th Street. The property is currently used as a parking lot. No structural demolition will be required ahead of the new development.
