HPRB Application Submitted for 1250 U St. Project
Eastbanc & Jamestown have submitted plans to the Historic Preservation Review Board for the proposed mixed-use project at 1250 U Street. Plans call for a 10 story primarily rental building with retail space and a possible hotel component. The proposed project envisions a design that responds to two scales. A taller building height fronts on U Street, NW and sits above the west U Street/African American Civil War Memorial/Cardozo Metrorail Station entrance. A shorter building height extends into the middle of the block where it is embraced by lower-scale townhouse structures.
