Jersey City Planning Board to Review 56-Story Tower Proposal
During their public meeting on February 4th, the Jersey City Planning Board will review an application proposing a 56-story, residential tower, at 72 Montgomery Street in Jersey City's Paulus Hook neighborhood.
Developed by , the building will contain rental apartments, offered in studio and one to three-bedroom configurations. Approximately 90 (15%) of these units will be dedicated to affordable housing.
Plans also call for tenant amenities, square feet of ground-floor retail space, and an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for vehicles.
Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet altogether.
The existing lot spans square feet and is bound by Christopher Columbus Drive, Greene Street, Montgomery Street, and Washington Street. Part of the property is currently occupied by a 15-story residential building, which will not be demolished. is therefore seeking approval to subdivide the land to create two separate lots.
