Land Acquired for Single Family Home Community in St. Cloud, Florida
Brookfield Properties acquired land in the Crossprairie Master Community in St. Cloud, Florida for $12.93 million in a land banking arrangement for Starlight Homes. The land was purchased from BTI Partners, the master developer of Crossprairie. Starlight Homes, an affiliate of Ashton Woods, will build 426 homes. The homes will be a mix of 173 townhomes, 105 bungalows and 148 front-loaded 50-foot lots. Crossprairie is approved for 5,200 homes, townhomes and apartments, 1 million square feet of commercial space, 1.9 million square feet of office space and 600 hotel rooms. The community is approximately 30 miles south of Orlando, Florida. The first homes are expected to be delivered in 2026.
