29 Wythe Avenue Update 09/02/21
Large Commercial and Manufacturing Building Proposed for Greenpoint
Applicant, False Alarm Ltd, is requesting zoning special permits for their proposed commercial and manufacturing development at 29 Wythe Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The land was a former brownfield site, where the Dutch Masters Paint & Varnish Co. building used to sit. That building has now been demolished, leaving an empty 137,000 sqft lot.
On this lot, False Alarm Ltd. is proposing a 7-story mixed-use development, totaling 214,915 square feet. This would reportedly include 126,002 sqft of office space, 23,763 sqft of light manufacturing space, and 12,668 sqft of ground-floor retail space. It would additionally have over 10,000 sqft dedicated to music and television production, as well as 62 accessory parking spaces. The project is currently in the filing stages and is waiting for public review.
