Large Rental Project Green Lit in Port Chester

The planning commission in Westchester County's Village of Port Chester has just approved a sizable 12-story residential project, set to rise in the Port Chester Opportunity Zone at 208-216 King Street.

Developed by High Street Residential, the residential development arm of Trammell Crow Company, the building will contain rental apartments, offered in studio, one, two, and three-bedroom configurations. Included in this count will be low-income units dedicated to affordable housing programs.

The development will feature an extensive suite of tenant amenities, spanning roughly 13,000 square feet. This includes a fitness center, a yoga room, an outdoor swimming pool, a lounge on the top floor, a roof deck, a dog run, a flexible conference and event space, a co-working area, and a club room. Plans also call for an enclosed, 2-story, parking garage, with enough room for vehicles and 47 bicycles.

is the lead architect for the project, however, the building's size and height dimensions have not been released yet.

On the other hand, we do know that the development site totals around 24,000 square feet and spans 2 separate lots. As a result, demolition is imminent for two houses that currently occupy the property. Once the site is cleared and work commences, the project is expected to create up to 240 construction jobs.
