Large Warehouse Project Approved in Staten Island

The NYC Department of City Planning has just greenlit a massive, Class-A distribution center, set for 1 Nassau Place in Staten Island's Richmond Valley neighborhood. The positive verdict comes several months after the applicant, 1 Nassau Place LLC, first requested zoning certifications in order to facilitate the project.

Developed by

, the single-story warehouse is set to total square feet. It will feature 36-foot interior clearance heights, 60 loading dock doors, 50'x54' column spacing, 11 trailer storage spaces, and  employee parking spots.

At

square feet, the project site spans roughly 18 acres. Half of the land is vacant, with the other half currently used as a storage lot for new vehicles.

The property's location makes it ideal for shipping and receiving, as it sits within close proximity to Route 440, the NJ Turnpike, and I-287.
