Lathrop Homes to Receive an Additional $25 Million in TIF
The Chicago Community Development Commission has approved an additional $25 million in TIF funding for Phase 1C of the Lathrop Homes redevelopment. Plans for this phase include the construction of a new building, the restoration of seven existing buildings, and the demolition of three buildings at 2742, 2706, and 2620 N Hoyne Avenue in West Lakeview. Once completed, the project will add 309 new residential units to the 488 Lathrop apartments that were previously renovated in earlier phases, which were finished in 2019 and 2023.
