LIC Office Building Trades for $173M

An 8-story office building, located at 33-00 Northern Boulevard in Long Island City, Queens has just been sold for $173 million. Known as "The Center Building", it was purchased by 60 Guilders LLC from the previous owner, Vornado Realty Trust, in a deal brokered by Eastdil Secured.

Originally constructed in 1914, the Class-B structure was designed by Albert Kahn and totals square feet. It was first built as the Ford Assembly and Service Center of Long Island City and was used as a plant to manufacture the Model T.

The building was later converted into offices and received its most recent renovation in 2007. It currently offers square feet of office space.

The Center Building is highly flexible for tenants with its 61,000 square foot floor plates and 12'-3" ceiling heights. There is also retail space on the ground floor as well as a pair of loading docks for shipping and receiving.
