LIC Residential Building Takes Shape
An 8-story residential building at 10-64 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City is well under construction, and quickly taking shape. Set to be called, The Anable, it will amass 34,000 square feet and contain 22 condominium units.
The Anable is being developed by BK Developers, and construction has been undertaken in-house by general contractor, BK Builders LLC. Currently, BK is framing out and adding the upper floors. The remaining work is especially visible when viewing the back of the structure.
The building was designed by Zproekt Architecture and will stand 95 feet tall once it fully tops out. In addition to residential units, it will contain retail space on the ground floor. The project will likely finish sometime in the first half of next year. It was originally estimated to complete this summer, but just like many projects around the city, pandemic concerns presumably put construction on hold.
