250 East 83rd Street Update 05/18/23

Luxury Yorkville Tower Project Continues to Rise

Concrete specialist, Glenco Contracting, has shared new photos of the rising superstructure at 250 East 83rd Street; a 32-story residential tower, going up in Manhattan's Yorkville neighborhood.

At this time, the building's superstructure has risen to around two-thirds of its final height, with 22 stories now constructed. The fixed concrete placing boom has been working overtime on the top floor. Placing booms are a crucial piece of equipment for projects like this one nowadays, as they vastly accelerate the pouring and forming process. This results in quicker overall build times, and less labor required to complete a superstructure, since the concrete is pumped directly from the street to the roof as it arrives on-site.

Developed by , 250 East 83rd Street is set to contain  rental apartments. Plans also call for  of ground-floor retail space.

Tenant amenities are to include a fitness center, a rooftop pool and lounge, a children's playroom, and a theatre room.

Designed by , and constructed by , 250 East 83rd Street will stand feet tall and total square feet upon completion. Valley Bank has provided $145 million in funding for the project and construction is expected to take until May of 2025.

The project site sits directly across the street from 300 East 83rd Street, where Lalezarian Properties is in the early stages of constructing a 22-story condo tower of similar, albeit smaller stature.
