Madison Avenue Development in Public Review
An application for the redevelopment of 415 Madison Avenue in Midtown is currently navigating its way through the public review process. The application seeks special permits to facilitate the demolition of an existing building on the site and the construction of a 40-story commercial tower to replace it. After review by the Community Board, the project was unanimously approved on September 9th. As of the time of this writing (September 14th), the application has been handed off to the Borough President for further review. The Borough President has 30 days to review the application and make a recommendation. If this happens, the application will then be sent to the City Planning Commission.
