Cobblestone Landing Update 09/22/21

Major Capital Improvements Increase Value of Charlestown Condo Development

Charlestown continues to be one of Boston’s hottest submarkets mixing historic charm with close proximity to downtown. The major redevelopment of the Hood Park site underway will also attract new business and residents to the area. Located just a few blocks from Hood Park and across the street from the Charlestown Lower Mystic Greenway, Cobblestone Landing features 28 residences originally constructed in the late 1980s. While the development offers large floor plans, many with private outdoor space, and ample parking, the harsh New England winters had taken their toll on the building exteriors. To rectify this issue, property management firm, Peacock Properties managed the complex capital improvement project across the multi-building complex to repair/replace various exterior elements. This update included work across various types of finishes including brickwork/masonry repairs, new roofing, and siding (of various colors). The project also involved decking repair work. Peacock handled the budgeting and bidding on the project along with contracts and coordination between condo owners/tenants and contractors. Completed across multiple phases, these major capital repairs have not only served to increase the curb appeal of Cobblestone Landing but also value to the owners.
