February's Top New-Construction Multifamily Buildings in Boston Update 03/15/18

Below are BLDUP's most active* Boston-area new-construction multifamily buildings as of February 2018. All these buildings are either under construction or recently completed. Each building contains either apartments or condominiums; a number of buildings also contain ground-floor retail space.

1. EchelonSeaport

Boston - Seaport District

Projected Opening: Late 2019/Early 2020

EchelonSeaport will feature three mixed-use towers containing 1.3 million square feet. Two towers will contain over 400 combined luxury condominium residences, and one tower will contain luxury apartment residences. A total of 717 residences and 125,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space will be built at EchelonSeaport, with resident amenities including two signature outdoor pools, an indoor pool, expansive sun decks, engaging courtyards and oversized private terraces. 2. Waterside Place

Boston - Seaport District

Projected Opening: Early 2020

Upcoming 23-story tower featuring 307 apartment residences ranging from studios to three-bedrooms. 62 residences will be "innovation units", and 15 residences will be designated affordable. The tower will include 3,500 square feet of ground-floor retail and a second-floor parking garage with approximately 84 spaces. Learn more >>>


3. 115 Winthrop Square

Boston - Financial District

Projected Opening: Spring 2022

Proposed 53-story, 691-foot-tall tower that would replace a decrepit City-owned parking garage located in Winthrop Square in the heart of Downtown Boston. Across the $1.3 billion, 1.592-million-square-foot tower’s top 26 floors would be approximately 500 condominium residences, with approximately 750,000 square feet of commercial office space across 20 floors below. 4. 345 Harrison Avenue

Boston - South End

Projected Opening: Late 2018

345 Harrison is a mixed-use development project opening in late 2018 that will consist of two new 14-story buildings totaling approximately 535,900 square feet of new space. 5. One Dalton

Boston - Back Bay

Projected Opening: Late 2018

One Dalton will be the tallest residential tower in New England at 740 feet and 61 stories tall, with 180 private luxury condominium residences above a 215-room Four Seasons luxury hotel. One Dalton will feature amenities including a lap pool, a fitness center, a salon with manicure, pedicure and hair styling services, a private yoga and pilates studio, a golf simulator room with a wet bar and a private theater room. A Private Residents’ Club Lounge will feature a dining room, a lounge area, a fully appointed bar and catering kitchen and a terrace with sweeping views of the Charles River and Boston skyline. 6. South Bay Town Center

Boston - Dorchester

Projected Opening: Summer 2018

South Bay Town Center is a 720,000 square foot mixed-use development project opening in 2018 that will transform a 10-acre section of the existing South Bay Center shopping mall in Dorchester. The project includes approximately 475 residential units, 120,000 square feet of retail space, a 60,000 square foot cinema and a 130-room hotel. Learn more >>>


7. 370-380 Harrison Avenue

Boston - South End

Projected Opening: Fall 2020

370-380 Harrison Ave is a 14-story, 356,500 square foot mixed-use building that will contain approximately 273 residential units, including 172 rental apartments and 101 ownership condominiums, and approximately 8,500 square feet of ground-floor retail.  Learn more >>>


8. Lantera

Boston - Brighton

Projected Opening: June 2018

Lantera, a nearly complete 17-story mixed-use building featuring 295 apartment residences and 16,400 square feet of retail space. Lantera will bring 24/7 residential presence to Brighton’s new Boston Landing development, which upon completion will feature 80,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space in addition to Class A office and athletic space, a hotel and the official practice facilities of the Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics. 9. Penniman on the Park

Boston - Allston

Projected Opening: September 2018

The Penniman on the Park is a residential building featuring 36 condominium residences located steps to Allston's Union Square and the Boston Landing development. Residences will be approximately 1,000 square feet in size with starting prices of approximately $500,000; Penniman on the Park will include four penthouse residences.
