Massive Mixed-Use Development Proposed for LIC
A gigantic 46-story, mixed-use tower has been proposed for 30-05 Queens Boulevard in Long Island City, Queens. Developed by , the development would contain condominium units, spread across square feet. In addition to residential space, it would have square feet of commercial space. At this time it's unknown if this will be composed of retail units, office space, or a mix of both, but unless an incorporated shopping mall is secretly in the plans, the square footage points towards office space. Designed by , the building will total a whopping square feet, and stand feet tall. The lot being proposed for the project is currently a pay-to-park facility. Long Island City is in the midst of a major development boom, and a long list of similar mixed-use developments are presently in the works. With developers looking to buy and capitalize on every available piece of land in the neighborhood, the open expanse at 30-05 Queens Boulevard is unsurprisingly a strong candidate for redevelopment.
