Merrimack River Boardwalk Complete, Open to Public
The boardwalk project underway along Haverhill's stretch of the Merrimack River recently opened in a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new section now spans from Harbor Place at 2 Merrimack St down to Washington Square, passing by the newly-opened, 10-story Heights at Haverhill.
Future plans for the boardwalk include extending it to the Comeau Bridge, and create an uninterrupted loop linking both sides of the Merrimack.
