Micro Apartment Unit Development in Downtown Tampa Breaks Ground
Developers have broken ground at a new micro apartment unit community at 701 Whiting Street in downtown Tampa. The new eight-story apartment building in will offer 104 studio apartments. The developers have secured a construction loan for $17 million from Berkshire Bank, according to Hillsborough County Clerk of Court records. The 62,000 square foot development, 701 E. Whiting Street, is located at the corner of Whiting and N. Jefferson Street, within walking distance of the Water Street Development and Amalie Arena. The studio apartments will range in size from 409-453 square feet. Community amenities include club lounge, co-working space on a fitness center on the first floor and mezzanine. An outdoor amenity area on the second floor will feature a pool and outdoor deck.
