Middletown Riverfront is Getting A Makeover
Middletown's riverfront is getting a new district. This development, dubbed "Return to the Riverbend" along the Connecticut River, encompasses 220 acres and will add diverse spaces to the area. Including everything from mixed-use housing to restaurant and entertainment venues along with greenspace, this redevelopment will have something for everyone.
The project is still in the early phases of development, with plans continuing to be reviewed and legislative actions such as rezoning needing to be cleared before moving the project forward. The project team comprises NY-based architects Cooper Robertson, urban planners Karp Strategies, and NJ-based Langan Engineering and Environmental Services.
