Midtown Hotel Trades for $308M
A 42-story, hotel tower, located at 119 West 56th Street in Midtown, Manhattan, has just traded hands for $308 million. The property was purchased by Gencom, from the previous owner, GFI Capital.
Known as the "Thompson Central Park New York" (a Hyatt brand), and originally constructed in 1981, the 536,719 square foot building last received renovations in 2022. It contains 587 guest rooms. In addition to guest rooms, the hotel features a fitness center, on-site retail, and restaurants.
