Mitsubishi Selected for Elevator Installation at 400 Summer Street
WS Development has selected Mitsubishi's Elevator and Escalator division as the elevator contractor for 400 Summer Street in Boston's Seaport.

“We’re thrilled to expand our presence in the Boston area and partner with WS Development on 400 Summer Street,” said Mike Eden, director, eastern region, Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Elevator and Escalator Division. “We worked closely with the team to see how Mitsubishi Electric could deliver the best product suited for their requirements. Ultimately, there was agreement that Mitsubishi Electric offered the optimal elevator system for the project. We hope this collaboration is the first of many.”
Currently under construction, the upcoming 16-story laboratory building will be home to Foundation Medicine, which will occupy 580,000 square feet of laboratory and office space. The project will also host 30,000 square feet of neighborhood retail uses.
