Mockup Fabrication Underway for Expedition Blue
Mockup fabrication is underway for the wood and steel components of Expedition Blue - a modular series of informative environmental wayfinding structures that will start appearing in Massachusetts coastal towns this summer. Designed by CambridgeSeven and fabricated by Mystic Scenic Studios, these "activators" were developed for the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce as small attractions to support regional tourism by informing visitors about the local economy, history, and ecology. They are designed to appeal to visitors as well as locals as places to learn, gather, relax, and admire the coastal surroundings. In-shop fabrication for the first series of structures will take place for the next several weeks. Sitework and installation are expected to be complete in early summer.
