The process of renovating the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA started in 2016. New interior exhibits designed by CambridgeSeven are being completed in five phases. Phase one consists of a new public exhibit in the lobby called Tip-Off Pavilion that opened in 2018. The pavilion holds lockers of the sport’s most beloved players. Also, in Phase One was the new Nike Theater, showing a signature film about the history and impact of basketball. Phase Two was completed in late 2019; it consists of the Hall of Honor – a sacred space that celebrates over 400 Hall of Famers and their amazing achievements. Phases Three and Four are currently being finished in the grand 90-foot-high dome in which visitors will find a giant LED display on the Jerry Colangelo "Court of Dreams” – a real court to play on – and a series of exhibits along with the surrounding Mezzanine level. Phase Five will include demolition and renovation of the second-floor galleries.  Construction is expected to finish in June and the highly anticipated Enshrinement Ceremony for the class of 2020 will take place at the Hall of Fame in September.
