New CTA Station Ramps Will be Built Along Forest Park Branch of Blue Line System
The CTA's $3 billion plan to reconstruct the Forest Park Branch of the Blue Line system, including the $23 million project currently under construction at the Racine station, will ensure all access stations are ADA-compliant. Currently, only 4 of the 11 stations are accessible, some of which were built too steep and without landings. The massive project will include rebuilding all 11 station ramps, along with new elevators, for wheelchair access.
