New Performing Arts Center Breaks Ground in East Garfield Park
Construction has begun on the redevelopment of a 25,000-square-foot industrial building at 134 S. California in East Garfield Park. The performing arts non-profit BandWith is converting the structure into a state-of-the-art community performing arts and training center. The renovation will also feature retail space for tenant Dark Matter Coffee, along with administrative office space for Deborah’s Place, a social service organization dedicated to supporting women struggling with homelessness.
