New Plans Call for 300' Hotel in Kenmore Square
Mark Development has released updated plans for the Kenmore Hotel at 560 Commonwealth Avenue. The new plans call for a 28 story tower (increased from 24) that would be just under 300 feet tall. The hotel would feature 389 rooms and 1,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The plan also calls for a new street behind the hotel to connect Comm. Avenue to Beacon Street before their current intersection in busy Kenmore Square. The new road would allow for shorter crosswalks and create a public plaza and new bike lanes.
The updated plans are now under official review with the City.
