248 Dorchester Avenue Update 10/16/24

New Plans Filed for Long-Stalled South Boston Hotel

The development team behind a planned hotel at 246-248 Dorchester Avenue in South Boston has updated plans for the project. Originally approved in 2018 as an 8-story hotel, the new plans call for a 10-story structure with 169 keys (10 more than originally approved). Per the project filing "changes in the hospitality market due to the pandemic, interest rate increases, and construction cost increases, the proponent submits that the approved project must be revised in this NPC in order for its construction to be feasible."
