New Renderings Revealed for the Parcel G at The Yards

Brookfield Properties and the Menkiti Group have filed a second-stage planned unit development (PUD) for their development at The Yards, that plans to deliver 671 residential units, 40,000-49,000 square feet of retail, and a large waterfront park.

The first building, G1, was designed by STUDIOS Architecture, and will deliver 428 units and 25,000 sq. ft. of ground-level retail, along with up to 240 parking spaces on two below-grade levels.

The second building, G2, designed by Hickok Cole, will deliver 243 units with 24,000 sq. ft. of retail, and up to 108 parking spaces. The proposal increased the amount of affordable housing from 8% to 30%, affordable to households earning up to 30% and 60% of area median income.

The retail along an extended Yards Place will include incubator and maker-space rented at below-market rates to small and/or local businesses.

The Diamond Teague Park along the river, coined the "Get Down" will feature a pavilion and stone seating for free public events, as well as direct waterfront access.

Planned activities for the park or along the river include concerts, exercise and yoga classes, organized sports leagues, and more.
