North End Residential Development Underway
After years of delays it appears that the 244 Hanover Street development in Boston’s North End is happening. The project was shot down back in 2013 by The North End / Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) and the property was then sold at a foreclosure auction in 2016 to current developer, Panther Residential Management.
The property consists of two buildings at 244 Hanover Street and 20 Parmenter Street. 244 Hanover Street is a 13,200 square-foot 16-unit development that will be 6 stories tall. Parking will be constructed underneath the building for 25 resident cars. 20 Parmenter Street is a renovated 4-story 12-unit building containing 18,200 square-feet of living space. The property is situated on a 4,270 square foot parcel.
