NU Set to Break Ground on Roux Institute in Portland

Next week on September 13th, Northeastern University will officially break ground on The Roux Institute in Portland, Maine. This new academic and research campus will be located on the waterfront at the former B&M Baked Bean site. The Learning, Research and Collaboration (LRC) Building will house 245,000 SF of computational academic space, life science labs and advanced active-learning classrooms organized around a soaring gathering space known as “The Portal.” CambridgeSeven's design of the LRC is forward-looking and supports the vision of Northeastern University and Dave and Barbara Roux for an innovation hub focused on stimulating Maine’s economy and enriching the community.
