Permits Filed for 10-Story Mixed-Use Addition on Lower East Side
Permits have just been filed for a 14-story mixed-use building at 75 Essex Street on Manhattan's Lower East Side. Developed by Soft Stone Development, the project involves constructing a 10-story addition on top of an existing 4-story building. The resulting structure would contain 9 residential condos and 13,023 square feet of commercial space.
Designed by RISE Architecture, the structure would stand 162 feet tall and total 27,355 square feet. No demolition would be required, but the existing building would likely be renovated extensively.
