213 3rd Avenue Update 02/24/22

Permits Filed for 14-Story Mixed-Use in Gowanus

Permits have just been filed for a 14-story, mixed-use development at 213 3rd Avenue in Brooklyn's Gowanus neighborhood. Developed by , the building would contain residential units and square feet of commercial space. This would likely come in the form of ground-floor retail. Plans also call for an enclosed parking garage with enough room for vehicles.

Designed by , the structure would stand feet tall and total square feet. The lot happens to be located right next to A. Williams' headquarters and is currently used to store some of their construction equipment. Based on that association, this may be a case where the company has decided to capitalize on its air rights by building a profitable development right over its existing storage space.
